Mallika Sherawat, who was voted as the ‘Hottest Vegetarian Celebrity’ of 2011 in a poll conducted by PETA India, will now be a trainer in a three-week program- ’21-Day Vegan Kickstart’ that advocates a healthy lifestyle by going vegetarian.
Mallika has always maintained that the secret to her fabulous figure is a green diet and a healthy lifestyle and now she will provide a few health tips and recipes to get a figure like hers.
The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine in Washington DC approached Mallika to be a celebrity coach at this year’s Kickstart India program, which will flag off on June 4.
Based on a research by Neal Barnard, M.D., one of America’s leading health advocates, the 21-Day Vegan Kickstart is designed for anyone who wants to explore and experience the health benefits of a vegan diet. The program urges participants across the world to switch to vegetarianism for a healthy lifestyle. A team of physicians and celebrities come together twice a year for the 21-Day Vegan Kickstart.

Mallika is not only following a vegan diet but doesn’t smoke or drink either. She is also addicted to yoga and insists that her Mr Right will have to be all this and more: “There are plenty of suitors, even in Los Angeles, but when they learn that I go to bed at 9 pm and that I am a strict vegan, they say ‘Excuse me, do you live on fresh air?’”
